Nowadays, photographs are everywhere: 52 millions pictures are posted daily on Instagram, and 350 million pictures appear every day on Facebook. Yet, some pictures, although they look quite ordinary, have unusual stories behind them, making them stand out from the crowd. This could have been a normal hilly vineyard, but, in fact, this is the sight of “Bliss”, the default computer wallpaper of Microsoft’s Windows XP operating system. This is what it looks like now. The landscape is located in the Los Carneros American Viticultural Area of Sonoma County, California, and used to be the most viewed photo in the world.
